Copy Paste question

I have a question with Copy and Paste;

When working on a 2D conventional drawing with dimensions that does not correspond to the 3D xy , I would like to copy that wire frame to a new 3D drawing but with the bottom left corner of the part to be x=0, y=0. Is there a way to designate the exact paste location?
When I do a copy paste it pastes in the same drawing location as it was copied from.

When using copy, it will copy the exact XYZ coordinate positions and paste them there.
When pasting it to a new file I would create a new layer to paste the wireframe onto, so that you can hide everything else and easily select what was pasted and then use the translate function to move a point of the wireframe to 0,0,0
