Really its just a left and right hand thread on the same piece of material. Simulation of lathe threading will not show that accurate as simulated lathe threads are not a true spiral however threadmill in the milling package i think would. Just a matter programming the left and right hand threads. Unless I’m missing something.

Yea, looking at it with more detail I believe a thread mill tool would not be able to cut that pitch and depth combo without wiping out the details. so Rotary with a specific engraving type tool like the video shows would be the way to go. Our rotary or wrapping can do that. Cutting the nut on the lathe would not simulate and show the internal thread as we do not simulate the true spiral for threading in lathe.
