I often get all my geometry toolpathed out, and then we decide to set the part up differently after I’m done, i.e., change the origin. When the drill hole geometry has been completed and the origin changes, the drill depth reverts back to 0.5" deep. Sometimes in the “Feature Depth” field in the Mill Hole Wizard is blank. The only way I’ve been able to fix this is to remove the geometry and start over. Am I doing something wrong? Is this feature depth reset/blanking done intentionally in the software for some reason?
This appears to be a bug. I haven’t found a solution
Happens to me too. Hate doing things twice.
This has been the default behaviour every since I have used Bobcad, it has caught me out on more than one occasion when reselecting geometry and the 0.5" (12.7mm) default is instated on a hole that should actually be much less depth.

Hello Guys,
I can shed some light on what you are experiencing here.
When you create a feature for drilling and you select the geometry, the attributes of that hole are assigned based on the geometry selected. In our hole wizard you can select holes of different sizes and the wizard will handle breaking them out into separate groups for you, thus saving time. The key here is to understand that we associate the parameters for each hole based on the entity information like location relative to the machine setup, diameter of the hole…etc
When you do something like translate the geometry, or move the machine setup the association with that geometry is lost in the feature…And the system then reverts back to default values.
I will mention to the Dev team about your notes here, but the system is currently working as it is designed. I am not sure if the dev team could find a way to get around, or fix this. I will pass it on though.
Thanks, Alex. I figured it was working as designed but was hoping I have been doing it incorrectly.
Ok it has been like this way back to V-25 and still is not fixed
The work around is to always uncheck the box Use Cutting Conditions when you do this it will stay at what you set for the depth and you can reselect geometry with no problems also make sure to uncheck for everything c-bore,reamers,drill all
I will try that next time.
