Has anyone ran into this problem, where they draw a solid and the try to put a radius on some of the corners and the result looked like this…
Yes. That is a common result of a fillet trim handling error, but it gives you a fillet result. That is what you see there. The actual fillet is there underneath the original geometry.
It gives you the opportunity to stop and go back and rework it, or manually continue with the fillt result. Using it to manually trim and stitch the object back into a solid.
So it sounds like if this when this happens again I can work it into a correct part by stiching stuff together…correct?
In theory.
Unstitch. Trim surfaces. Refill openings. Stitch to solid.
Complex models can make it difficult to do. But yes, that is what you do with that result.
