Purchased the v27 software back in 2015 and haven’t used it in a few years. Fired it back up again recently and seem to be having a brain freeze. The problem I’m having is configuring the tool path to start at the edge of the stock on both facing and turning. I’ve uploaded an image which should make what I’m saying more clear.

Hello Michael,
In V27 the system will not automatically detect your stock and extend the path. The easiest way to accomplish this would be to use the Leads option to add some X axis lead-in on your facing cuts, and a Z axis lead in on your turning cuts. see the images below:

PS: the newer software handles this automatically for you
