V33 Installation Error

I’m getting the attached error when installing V33 that says that:

Self-registration error
The following files were not self-registered or unregistered:

  1. C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Solidworks \ Shared \ swdocumentmgr.dll
    Error: 0x0
    Click ok to continue or cancel.

Has anyone seen this before because after getting the install and continuing the registration, Bobcad will not open.

Welcome to the Forum, Bwilson. The issue you’re experiencing can be resolved by uninstalling the 2017 Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable. In Windows 10, go to the start menu>settings>Apps, then search for the 2017 C++ file using the search list box, click the app and click uninstall.

I did the steps in your message but the software still won’t start after I uninstalled the 2017 C++

download and install the 2015-2019 X64 C++ file from Microsoft

I just installed the 2015-2019 X64 C++ file from Microsoft but Bobcad still didn’t startup.

I ended up uninstalling the Bobcad software though and after reinstalling it again I didnt get an error and it started to work
